Clara E. Hill: explore, understand, act

Hill, a psychologist at the University of Maryland, developed the cognitive-experiential model of dream work. It moves through three stages: exploring the dream in detail, building insight by linking it to waking life, and deciding on a small action to take.

Crucially, the dreamer does the interpreting, not the therapist. Studies of the model in therapy settings suggest people find it helpful.
